Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the lm9 LLM service at llm.lm9.org and related sites operated by lm9.org (“lm9,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

lm9 provides access to large language model chat interfaces, usage metering, and account management. Features, models, and capacity may change as we improve the platform. We try to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Sign-in and password storage use industry-standard security practices. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for illegal activity or to generate clearly unlawful content.
• Harass others, distribute malware, or attempt to disrupt our service.
• Share account access in a way that circumvents plan limits or billing.
• Probe, scrape, or reverse-engineer systems except as we explicitly allow.
• Resell or sublicense access without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or that create risk for other users or the platform.

4. Plans, trials, and billing

Plan details and prices are shown on our pricing page. New users may start a 15-day trial with up to 5 million tokens and no payment card required. When a trial ends without a paid subscription, access to the chat product may pause until you subscribe.

Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Power - monthly or annual) renew automatically at the price and interval you select until you cancel. Annual plans are billed once per year at the advertised rate (currently 10% less than twelve monthly payments). Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal; we do not store full card numbers on lm9 servers.

You may cancel renewal at any time from profile → subscription or by contacting support@lm9.org. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not automatically delete your account. Access typically continues through the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated at cancellation. Free trials do not require a payment method and are not charged.

Token limits and usage metering are described on the pricing page and in your account. If you exceed included usage, we may throttle, pause, or require an upgrade according to plan rules we publish in the product.

5. Refund policy

This section is our refund policy for paid subscriptions. It is incorporated into these Terms.

Trial

The trial is free. No payment is collected during the trial, so no refund applies.

Monthly subscriptions

If you are unhappy with your first monthly charge for a new paid subscription, contact us within 7 days of that charge. We will refund that payment in full. This one-time guarantee does not apply to renewal charges, plan changes, or accounts that previously had a paid subscription on the same email.

Annual subscriptions

If you cancel within 14 days of your annual payment and have used less than 10% of your plan’s monthly token allowance for that billing period, we will refund the annual fee on a pro-rata basis for unused full months remaining after the cancellation date. After 14 days, or if usage exceeds that threshold, annual fees are non-refundable except where required by law; you may still cancel to prevent renewal at the next anniversary.

Renewals and mid-cycle cancellation

Except as above, fees already paid are generally non-refundable. Canceling stops future billing; we do not refund unused days or unused tokens on a monthly renewal unless we agree otherwise in writing (for example, after a prolonged outage caused by lm9).

Billing errors and outages

If you were charged twice, charged after you canceled, or could not use the service for an extended period because of a fault on our side, email us with your account email and receipt. We will correct verified errors with a refund or account credit at our discretion.

How to request a refund

Email sales@lm9.org from the address on your account. Include the payment date, plan name, and whether you paid via Stripe or PayPal. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method; processor timing is usually 5–10 business days. Please contact us before opening a payment dispute so we can resolve the issue directly.

6. Privacy and your content

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle chat content. In summary: we do not train on your conversations, we do not keep deleted chats in a recoverable archive, and we retain billing and usage records as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations.

7. Intellectual property

The lm9 site, branding, and platform software are owned by lm9 or its licensors. You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs and outputs solely to provide and secure the service.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service and model outputs are provided “as is.” AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, lm9 is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from your use of model output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms or the refund policy. We will post the new date at the top of this page. Material changes to paid terms will be communicated by email or in-product notice when practical. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, except where law requires otherwise.
